How to Boost Profits with a Co-Host

Let’s face it, hosting an Airbnb is hard work. Having a co-host can make it a whole lot easier.

A co-host can be a friend, neighbour, someone you find in my Facebook group or someone that you find on the Airbnb website.

A co-host can certainly make life easier, here are a few ways how…

1. Servicing your property

Your co-host might be the person who services your property before guests arrive. I’ve stayed at lots of Airbnb’s where the host is in another city or country, so they have a co-host nearby or on site to answer any questions and keep things tidy between guests.

2. Answering questions while you’re busy

Maybe someone else in your family joins your listing as a co-host to help answer questions while you’re at work or on holiday, this can be really helpful. As a great host, you want to respond to people quickly, but you can’t do that all the time. Having a co-host can certainly help make sure messages aren’t missed.

3. A Co-Host may have more hosting experience

If you’re new to Airbnb, it can all be a daunting task. Having a co-host who can help with the finer details can be a valuable asset to your business.

I co-host with my parents. They have the most adorable cottage on their farm, but they wouldn’t have put it on Airbnb without me to help them out. If you’re sitting on the fence about joining Airbnb, consider a co-host, they can make your life a whole lot easier.

4. Credibility

When your property is hosted by experienced hosts, it’s going to be better than one that is hosted by new hosts. Travellers are always looking at the host profiles, I know I do, it tells me a lot about the person and the properties.

5. Exposure

If the co-host has properties themselves and those properties are full, then they’re basically turning away guests. It’s likely that the guests will then look at other properties that the host is hosting/co-hosting, which will bring more potential guests to your listing.

Whether you’re brand new to Airbnb or you’re a seasoned expert, co-hosting is a great way to earn more money and grow your Airbnb business.
